Cisco Services maintains a strong margin performance and sees growing demand for technical and advanced services
Cisco Services grew 12.1% year-to-year in 3Q11, while Cisco Systems grew only 3.3%. Cisco Services capitalized on increased demand as enterprise and service provider segments continued to re-engineer their infrastructures to reduce costs and meet the growing demand with the convergence of network and IT structures. Technical Support services grew 11% year-to-year, and Advanced Services recorded a 17% growth in sales over the same period. Services revenues grew in all geographic regions and were led by 24.2% growth in APAC. TBR believes much of Cisco Services’ growth was supported by demand of its Unified Computing System (UCS) solutions and demand for security services and solutions, as customers looked to integrated systems to improve operations. TBR believes growing demand across video and collaboration sectors and a strong quarter for advanced services will help deliver stable technical support service revenues going forward.
