Bell Labs to Seek Exponential Energy Efficiency - Sustainability Spotlight: Interview - Sponsored Whitepaper

Bell Labs, a division of Alcatel-Lucent, recently launched Green Touch, a consortium of experts from the information and
communications technology (ICT) industry, academia and non-governmental research organizations. The consortium is dedicated to fundamentally transforming communications and data networks, including the Internet, and significantly reducing the carbon footprint of ICT devices, platforms and networks.

The goal of the consortium is to deliver the architecture, specifications and roadmap – and demonstrate key components – needed to increase the energy efficiency of a network by a factor of one thousand.
